So Kind

It takes a village to raise a child.Turns out, it takes one to start a business too.

When we started So Clever, we knew we'd be bringing our experience with us. What we didn't expect was how many people would bring a little of themselves too.

Some very clever, very generous people. People we've worked with, learned from, laughed with, leaned on and, now and then, simply asked for help. They gave us their time, ideas, talent, introductions and encouragement – often without being asked.

This page is our thank you.

With a very big thank you to…

Jeannette Flynn

The wise one

Every new business needs someone who'll hear the big idea, nod kindly and then ask the question you've been avoiding. Without knowing it, Jeannette is our business mentor, sounding board and all-important reality checker.

You'll find her twice on this page. Some people earn that.

A slice of wisdom.

So Clever brand textures by Anura Design: the logo, a line-drawn bird, deep cobalt and persimmon paper, stone and rippled water

Rhana Harrison · Anura Design

The creative wonder

Rhana turns water into fine wine, creatively speaking. She created So Clever's brand identity and expression - the colours, the type, the beautiful line drawings, the lot. We handed her a name, a Chanel with sneakers vision and a suite of values. She handed back something more perfect than we could ever have imagined.

Some creative magic.

Brad Newton Photography

The man with the magic lens

Nobody warns you that starting a business means having your photograph taken. A lot. Brad made it feel like an afternoon out with a friend, and came away with pictures of two women who look like they've got it all together.

The one at the top of this page is his.

Pictures to tell the story.

Rattan Salaria

Our digital advisor

Rattan speaks fluent tech and, more usefully, fluent us. He gave us the know-how, the patience, and one piece of advice we now repeat to clients: mobile first.

If you're reading this on your phone, he'd be pleased.

The practical advice two dreamers need.

Paul Sickling

Our 24-hour help desk

Head of IT, with a complimentary, round-the-clock help desk. Paul has set us up big time with software, Wi-Fi and things very few people know how to do, with patience and generosity well beyond the job description.

There is no job description. He's family.

Cloud based solutions at lightening speed.

Gillian and Phillip Sickling

Our Mooloolaba HQ hosts

Every business needs a headquarters. Ours came with family, the kettle always on, and two hosts who never once asked when we'd be leaving.

Thank you for giving So Clever a home.

A home, with the kettle on.

The people in our corner

Some people help by doing.
Others help by believing.

Thank you for the kind words, the introductions and the encouragement. Most of all, thank you for believing in So Clever before there was much of it to believe in.

A word of encouragement.

Jeannette Flynn

Kindness comes full circle.

None of it shows up in a business plan. All of it matters.

Thank you, every one of you.
